Classic Vacations Now Offering Luxury Packages to Canada
Agents receive 15% commission on 22 top hotels
SAN JOSE, April 16, 2012 – Classic Vacations, a top luxury travel wholesaler, announces the launch of Classic Canada. As of April 16, travel agents will be able to book air, high-end hotel, transfers and tours through Classic Vacations in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec, and receive 15% commission in 2012 on the 22 hotels Classic has partnered with as a launch special.
“Canada was a perfect fit for us in the luxury arena and there was more demand for the destination from our travel agent partners,” says Greg Bernd, Co-President of Classic Vacations. “The timing is perfect now that we have real-time rates and inventory from many of our hotel partners, including Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. Our knowledgeable reservations agents have been thoroughly trained and have visited the destination on extensive fam trips.”
Classic Vacations offers fourteen Fairmont properties including The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Banff Springs, Chateau Lake Louise, Palliser, Hotel Macdonald, Waterfront, Hotel Vancouver, Pacific Rim, Vancouver Airport, Chateau Whistler, Empress, Royal York, Le Château Frontenac and The Queen Elizabeth. Three breathtaking Fairmont properties are National Historic Sites of Canada: Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, an enormous castle perched upon the banks of the Saint Lawrence River in charming Quebec City; The Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff National Park, Alberta, a castle in the awe-inspiring Canadian Rocky Mountains; and The Fairmont Empress in Victoria, a romantic, restored castle that offers a classic Victorian afternoon tea service overlooking the harbor.
Four Seasons properties include: the Four Seasons Resort Whistler and the Four Seasons Hotel, Toronto - opening in summer 2012. Other properties are Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver; Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour; The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto; and Hilton Hotel & Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview. Clients may do a stopover in Seattle at The Westin Seattle or The Fairmont Olympic Hotel.
All hotels are four to five stars and Classic Vacations enjoys direct connectivity benefits at most properties so reservations agents can see what hotel rooms are available right away./p>
“We want agents to understand that we are treating Canada like any other destination that we carry,” adds Bernd. “We will tailor each vacation as we know there is no one-size-fits-all trip, and we will package it for their clients’ air, hotel, transfers and tours.” In fact, several interesting transport options and tours are available including float planes, heli-tours, whale-watching, ferry/transfers and wine tours.
